Sharon was born and raised in Wichita, KS and that is where she became passionate about rubber stamping. In 1987 a friend, that owned a gift store with a small section of stamps, showed her how to emboss. After that her life was punctuated with wild stamp shopping trips and far away stamp conventions. Financing these trips she worked as a lab technician and later a freelance food stylist, preparing food for TV and print ads. In 1997 Sharon and her husband, Wes both retired and in 2000 decided to make the move to Florida. It is there she met Betty Moore and started teaching and making samples for her store, Betty's Stamp Pad. Sharon thrives on the interaction with students both beginners and experienced and loves all the new products and tools that have been introduced from the time she very first put ink to paper.
